Assignment to a project group to develop the basis for a new ice stadium (possible location, capacity, spatial programme, accompanying measures, scale of costs, etc.).


Invitation to tender for a competitive procedure among investors for an urban development concept on the Herti / "Bossard" site.

August 2004

Selection of the concept of the team Anliker AG Emmenbr├╝cke with the architects Scheitlin-Syfrig + Partner Luzern and Leutwyler Partner Architekten Zug.

November 2004

The GGR approves a loan of CHF 300,000 for the project preparation for the "New Herti Zug ice rink".

November 2005

Credit of CHF 4.75 million approved by the Zug voters for the "Stadium and "Bossard" complex development concept: contribution to project planning and development costs".

February 2008

Approval of a loan of CHF 60.96 million for the Herti ice rink with outdoor pitch and multi-storey car park: new construction; building loan.

August 2010

OpeningBOSSARD Arena.

Autumn 2011

Opening of multi-storey car park, outdoor ice rink and square.
